Default 1974 Lime Green Paint Code

I am posting a pic of my poor car that needs a paint job. I am considering going back with the original color which is lime green. See pic...

What is the best way to go about finding the original paint code? Most of the paint shops I have talked to only go back to early 80's.

I have never seen a Porsche in Houston painted this color. Is this a rare original color for 911's?

Thanks for the feedback,

Stephen

Lime Green or Gelbgruen is color code 137. Go to this link, type in 'POR' for Manufacture's code and '137' in colour code and start a search. That will lead you to the formula for Gelbgruen for Glasurit paint.

http://www.glasurit.com/COLOR/COLOR-Search/

Here is a Carrera the same color.

You can also use www.paintscratch.com to find the colors/codes for any model year Porsche. They'll also sell you the paint in just about any form you'd like...touch ups to spray cans to full cans.

Love that color by the way...

Thanks for the information. I bought the paint today. I got a base coat / clear coat. Hopefully if the weather permits I'll get the door jams trimmed out this weekend.

Thanks again,

Stephen

Great Color! Great Car! I also have a '74 in a funky color "mexico blue"

I see we are neighbors too. I live in Houston but grew up in the Clear Lake/ Bay area and spend most of my weekends down there on the bay sailing. Look forward to seeing your car finished ...I went through the body on mine recently too.
