I had no idea a Porsche dipstick would even fit down the oil fill tube; what a weird accident. But apparently, it happens all the time; there are lots of cars with multiple dipsticks down the tube. Anyway, Porsche dipsticks are non-magnetic; most folks use a "clutcher" (long device with three grabby prongs on the end) to retrieve lost dipsticks. I don't think a dipstick will fit through the oil sender hole.

Supposedly the dipstick will be able to go out of the sender hole. Pretty sure the hole is a good bit bigger. The challenge is apparently using the drain hole to drop the thin end low enough to pull the loop through the hole.

Again, folks, Porsche dipsticks are non-magnetic. Do the experiment.

I dropped mine and read the forums. Before you jump through more hoops, get a mirror and strong light to find out whether you can see it. If yes, a coat hanger is what worked for me. If you see it, you can fish it if you take your time.
