Default 1970 Coupe

I found a coupe, I dont know if it is a T or whatever, it does appear to have a sunroof, or it is covered with a patch.

Not sure how to post pictures, not sure if I am allowed to....or should.

Basically its a paint stripped rolling shell on fuchs, the floor is rotted away, there is quite a bit of rust, even on the portion of the body that supports the door latching post, I dont recall the color off hand but the pictures dont show it. The seller has many of these body panels etc that were purchased new included with the intent on bodywork...but are loose. The interior has already been stripped from what I can see, apparently the parts are all there, but based on the pictures of the rest of the car its probably in poor unusable shape and smells like cat pee and rat poop. The engine, which I recall is matching ..is not running and in pieces (complete tho) as though it was stripped down and then given up on "ready for rebuild". I would say the car was a farm field rescue and was in the very early tear down and strip stage and then the owner realized what he was up against and decided to get rid of it. It kind of reminded me of the "Ahh garage" youtube videos...but might be a cut below what he bought.

Please suffer this fool ....What is something like this worth?

easy ... less than zero ....

coz by the time you build it , you could have bought a good running one for far less... so makes it less than zero ..

even just as parts you have to store it all ...

Don't waste your time ... i once bought a TR6 that was in rough shape , i had big plans to restore it and after three years i realized it would never
see the road again. Too much work and time involved so i bought a nice 89 911 instead ... that was 12 years ago !
You need extensive fabrication skills , lots of free time and a good budget to go through a project like that.

Cheers
Phil

Might be worth a quite a bit if it is an S depending the condition, size, years of the Fuch wheels and new parts included.

Otherwise it will be a very expensive project.

Thanks for your responses.

I am kind of motivated to build my own car on a tight budget from the ground up from zero (I have a 435xi to play with for now...practical and super fast...but no soul compared to the e46 coupe I once had...FYI I have never driven or even been in a 911). The thing about this one that I found hard to stomach was the motor was literally a basket of parts. Guy wants Cad $20K for it LOL its on Kijiji.

Allow me to post a picture of that beauty ...
I just looked at the ad on Kijiji , not sure what that guy is smoking but he's definitely not well !!!
Seems like he's trying to sell half a car for 20K , run away , fast !

Cheers
Phil

For $25k you can get yourself a nice 996 which will provide plenty of soul compared to a new BMW. Or if your budget is a little larger, try to find a 3.2 Carrera for about $50k.

My 435xi is a 2015, its served me well for quite a few years now.

996 vs pre 1987.......I was hoping for a totally analog experience, although I have never driven either so what do I know...the SC-Turbo was what I had a poster of as a teenager in the 80s. Anyway I figured if I actually tore down and built up an older "rescue" car I would gain valuable experience especially if something broke later, I could repair it by trial and error. The 996 is a more complicated car.to repair etc..no?...with potentially a big pitfall...re the engine issues I have read about. A 996 or 997 would be a faster way to get to the fix I think I need tho.

Thanks
