Default Some help finding a part

Hi guys,

I’m restoring the glove box of my car but I’m missing the latch. All sites are marked as nla but I hope some aftermarket part is available.

attached you can find the part I’m missing.
it’s the finger that holds the glovebox closed

thanks in advance!!

The diagram is useless alone. You need the year, the model, and it would help a lot if you would go to the trouble to find out the part number from the PET.

Hi,

yes, of course.
It’s a 911/T from 1969.

I’m missing the latch 91155255200

thanks.

Lots of places in the US, sez Google

can you get it form a local dealer?

do you have wrecking yards with 911 parts there?

That seems to be a 1970-73 PET#, not 1969.

69 was a transition year, some stuff is different than on the 70+ Does it look or should it look like this? if so, that is the same as my 71.

You could try Stoddard, Sierra Madre, or, post a 'wanted' on EarlySRegistry and Pelican.

You may need to get a key made if you find a used lock but any locksmith should be able to handle that.

He says he needs the latch on the inside. Per the 1969 PET, the part number is 90155255220 (1968-) or 90155255221 (1969-), reflecting a mid-MY change. Both appear to be NLA.

Happy hunting and good luck! You'll find one.

yeah ok it wasn't entirely clear to me...

I think a check on Pelican or Early S with a picture of the part you need would be your best bet. You could try calling one of the parts suppliers I listed to see... I'm sure there are others similar in Europe.

EDIT: I checked. The specific piece the OP wants is indeed plastic.

You can't 3D print without an original for precise measurements.

Wow! I'd never heard of them, but what an impressive website. And great prices. Thanks. And the OP can just buy an entire new glovebox door, which will solve the problem.
