My SC started out as my only car and I've racked up 30k miles in the last 3 years, the first 2 all through Chicago winters, though this winter I drove the 944 in the snow and waited for it to clear for the 911.

I've put about 2500 miles on my 86' in the last 2 1/2 years. It's now up to a whopping 30K total. There is just no way I am going to drive it daily and let all the idiots get at it in parking lots etc.... I plan on buying a higher mile 911 coupe or targa so I can drive it maybe two or three times a week and not have the worries. It's so hard for people not to drive their 911's that now an 80K mile Carrera is considered to have low miles.

My cab is for sunny days and nice twisty roads. The experience never gets old when pulling it out of the garage.

I have put 85,000 miles on my 83 SC in the last 7 years and that includes driving it to and from track events. Includes about 10 to 20+ track days a year. Highest maintenance cost is consumables - tires and expensive brake pads. Next was the transmission rebuild and clutch at 156,000 miles. It is time to do the engine and that will be a new data point when I get to it.
