1982 911 Dash Brake Light Won't Go Off
I recently changed out the shocks and the bushings on the front of my 1982 911 SC. After completing the repair, the light on the dashboard that usually signifies the parking brake being on, will not go off. I've repeatedly pulled up and released the parking brake but the light remains on. I drove the car about 1-2 miles in my neighborhood and the front brakes are warm, but not really hot like you'd expect if the brakes were engaged. Any ideas of the cause and way to fix it?

Brake pad sensors?
Low brake fluid, or defective switch in fluid reservoir?
Defective pressure switch?
I would do some research on Pelican and post there if needed. Lot more traffic there.

I don't know how your system works...since your dash light seems to be different than my '87.
Top left is my e-brake, top right is my brake system light (pads or fluid low)
Maybe the one light is for a the entire braking system, fluid, rotor pads, and e-brake. Since you did some heavy suspension work up front. Double check all the brake wires up front...maybe one of them broke or simple was forgotten and not connected back up.

I had something similar on my SC, and it turned out to be one of the brake light bulbs. Make sure both filaments are ok and the bases are seated correctly - they only go in one way.

On my 88 it can mean brake fluid low or one of the two circuits have failed. Check your brake fluid level and pad thickness.

The lever on my SC will cause this if it's not fully down.
