UGH!! OP here with stuck piston ...and it's still stuck solid!! The last time I did a caliper rebuild (maybe 10 years ago same car), no issues. Today, I went at it and one piston pushes out easily with air pressure (caliper is on the bench), whereas the other piston refuses to budge!! I can neither press that stuck piston back into the bore, nor nor will it move farther out with 110psi into the fluid inlet! Imagine a piece of wood that sits in the caliper as the rotor would; I apply air pressure and one piston pops right up to the wood no issue; the other does not. I am "this close" to dropping the caliper off at a trusted shop to have them do the rebuild.

So last ditch effort, gents: any thoughts on how to get this one piston out? BTW, I tried a channel lock (around the outermost lip so as not to damage the piston, of course), and can't even rotate the piston at all. Ideas??

Sounds like its cocked slightly and jammed. I think only recourse is tap it back in and try again. Otherwise it is rebuild time

I tried pushing it back into its bore...no dice! How does one "tap" it back in given the caliper is shaped like a "U" ?? All ears here!

very small hammer ?

did it move at all when first attempting ? or has it been that way a while ? if its been jammed a while you may be sol and have to send it away . can you hook a c clamp around it maybe ? or put a piece of flat steel across it then build it out and use a vice to put it back . I had this EXACT issue but i just cant remember how i fixed it.
