Default Need recommendation for PPI on Long Island, NY

Considering a car being sold by LuxSport in New Hyde Park, NY and looking for a place to conduct a throughout PPI.

Also feel free to let me know your thoughts on LuxSport. They have received a lot of bad press on this forum and others but most of those discussions were from 2015. Anything changed over there?

Friends, I have found a 911I am concerned in buying. Might I ask for a recommendation for a mechanic/shop to do a PPI on the car on Long Island-and how much should this price.

Thank you so much for your time.

Bought from them a bit ago - if you do your PPI and a thorough inspection and make good mental notes of what is on the car when you first view it and confirm it's all there when you pick it up, you should be ok. Be careful. But owner often has good cars. TKX was good on the PPI. .

Did you ever purchase the car from Lux Sport out on LI?

There is a car there that I am quite interested in, but of course the reputation of the place on rennlist has me concerned. Any info you can share is appreciated.

There is no way in hell I'd buy a car from them. I am actually shocked to hear they are still in business. Do yourself a favor and run don't walk away.

Thanks for this.

I tried to post a visitor message to you but there seems to be a site error. Would you mind talking off-forum?

Thanks

I'm no defender of this dealer, but remarks like "run don't walk away" without any substance are an injustice to them. You have any first hand experience or are you a parrot?

I'm sure they have cars worth consideration, just need to do the proper inspection.

Yes I have first hand knowledge with this dealer. They purchased an 89 911 Coupe with 57,000 miles on it from me a few years ago. There was a very long thread back then about the ordeal. I can't remember if it was on Pelican or Rennlist. Back then I stated exactly what they had tried to do to me, in a very long post. Others with the same complaints and stories came out of the woodwork. There were 200 some posts, 95% very negative, about dealings with the dealer in question. I believe the thread was removed by the owner of the site, for a fee of course.
