This is just weird. Did somebody put superglue into the water? Over on the 912 BBS some guy is posting about a pushrod being stuck to a rocker arm, and somebody else posted this video about using antiseize on wheel lugs. Pretty informative.

Yeah this is why i go to only 90 , i was aware if that Porsches torque setting was dry torque so tried to compensate a little

What an ugly mess!
If this had been a flat out on the road somewhere.......would have been a tow for sure!

New tires on....finally! Anti-seize going on the nuts for sure.

Wow. I did not expect that to happen. Never seen a lug nut fail like that.

You are very lucky your uber expensive wheels were not damaged !!

What tires did you go with Paul ?

And they were all off the car about 4 months ago! I would expect that to happen if they were sitting there for 5 or 10 years.

Couple of scratches and marks......but they had to come off somehow!

Bridgestone RE 71R's!

They should come with free mudflaps too.....so sticky car is going to be full of stone chips. But those tires combined with some negative camber in a wheel alignment has woke the handling up.

i had no idea RE 71s were back on the market ! I used those on my 944 many years ago and loved them,
