Ended up doing some rehab on the front left brake setup I did a few months back.

Front Left

Decided I am going to replace the front struts with new stock units. Driver side is ok, but just ok (weak). I don't see any need to upgrade at this point. The Bridgestone's I bought grip like crazy and have the stiffest side wall of any tire (other than some run flats) I have every owned. I'm afraid if I go to strut that is more firm i'll hate the ride quality. It will also be the perfect time to install the turbo tie rods I have.

Yeah it was a bit more than steam..... I ultimately made a underlay of EPS to give it something to lay down on.
It's was still pretty stiff after I steamed it. Looks better now.

Received this today. Really looking forward to getting this done this week and getting my LED dash lights installed. Some of the gauges were very well lit some not so much.

The color on the new tach face is exactly what I submitted to the manufacturer. Great job. www.heiler-tachodesign.de Turn around time was about a month.

Steve if you are willing would you photo document a tutorial on how this installs? I have a new tach gauge face coming shortly and would love to see how you do it!

Scott,

I got real antsy last night and did it. I'll post photos when I get home. I followed the instructions here------> Gauge Face Replacement

I suggest a pick like this------>

in lieu of the suggested flat blade screw driver for opening up the can.

It's not hard.

Tach Face installed......

I modified the bezel on the Tach by sanding the paint off the outer edge and raised face. The insets still have the color intact. I then polished the exposed aluminum. This picture does not do it justice.

I lost a dear friend and loyal companion this morning. You were always by my side and the time we had working on cars and riding in them will always be cherished. God speed Boss....

Dogs are the best garage companion you can ask for. Sorry for your loss, man. I'm sure he had the best dog life driving in your cars!

That is some awesome videography. I do a bit of videography and photography myself. Is this event closed exclusively to porsche owners? I'm a porsche enthusiast, but not yet an owner
