Default Excellent deal on G-Tech!

There was an ad in last week's AutoWeek for the G-Tech Pro performance meter for $49.95 - normal retail is $139.95!

I called the company, which is in Chicago, and verified that they are brand new units, not used, remans or gray market parts. Placed the order on-line about Noon yesterday, received shipping verification within 30 minutes, and received the unit by UPS this morning!
Haven't had time to try it yet but everything looks to be in order.

Here's the contact info:

Which version of GTech Pro was it? The one that uses the red display? Or the one with the blue backlighting? I think the $139 one is the "original" kind that did "braking distance, handling Gs, and, yes, horsepower." I got one of those for Christmas a long time ago but, somehow, lost it. I ended up getting another, newer model, one that does HP/Torque graphs and junk like that. It's pretty neat.

It's still a good deal...a great deal if it's the blue-backlit one.

This one uses the red display, measures:

0-60 time
60-0 braking
1/4 mile ET
1/4 mile speed
Horsepower
Instantaneous G's
Continuous G's

For $50 I'm delighted. Their Competition model is $250.

I been looking at these for a while - think it will go on "my" christmas list (i.e. the things I buy for myself using Christmas as an excuse!) Thanks for the heads-up.
