lol, I really didn't do much, I really wasn't beating on the car. I don't drive it that way very often. It has a Sachs pressure plate and clutch plate from what I see.

Hi Clive, what about the pressure plate and TO bearing, does that come as one unit?

ho boys..been traveling today 1100 km just landed..Hmm the pressure plate looks like it gave up on you.For to bearing to sit crooket it has to be broken pressure plate....how many miles on it?
I have recently bought for a friend of mine on which i did the engine job the power aluminium clutch kit.I did some long research here on the forum.Look it it up Randy.
But the cause of this..should be investigated..don`t you think guys?Basicaly the drop and clunk you have heard was the plate broke....

yeah Randy you basically get a clutch kit and it comes with everything. pressure plate , clutch disk, throwout bearing.
I saw the power clutch Ivan is talking about too, the aluminum lightweight pressure plate seems like a nice idea. I don't think its really that much more expensive given all the money you have saved pulling the engine yourself.

Ivan looks like his disk came completely apart. and jammed up everything . Id chalk it up to a bad clutch disk.

Hi Ivan, lots of work completed today. Engine and tranny dropped, not too bad once you double and triple check and go slow. Pulled off the tranny and found all the clutch stuff everywhere. Is the fork good?
I have a receipt for clutch replacement(photos show a Sachs clutch and pressure plate), parts were - clutch kit, flywheel, pilot bearing, release bearing tube assembly ,and O ring, this was at 90k miles and it now has 93000 miles over the last 10 years only driven 3000 miles from what I can see and was told. so in 2006 all the above work was completed. So what all is needed? I clean up everything with brake cleaner correct?

Hi..honestly never seen clutch disc in this state of damage with plenty of rubber on it.I think the pr.plate is broken look at the angle the to bearing ended up .I would really write to Sachs...just for the heck of it..what they would say but..now they are not in Germany but in Slovakia...If you like Randy i will try just have to give me the details on the disc made in Germany or where..
