Also, never trust the seller's recommendation for a PPI.

That's Prussian Blue, for sure. I owned an 86 targa in that color and also an 86 928. Beautiful. Looks purplish at certain angles.
Driving coast to coast along a southern route in July/August? Sounds like a nightmare to me. If the gulf humidity doesn't kill you, the TX-NM-AZ blazing heat will. These cars do not have adequate AC even for a northern climate.

PPI tomorrow, at Foreign Affairs Motorsport in Pompano Beach. The seller recommended them, among others. I have no problem using them even though he suggested it because they have a solid reputation in the Porsche community. I would have picked them myself anyway.
The car was never resprayed, option code confirmation from under the frunk lid via photo will be coming tomorrow. I checked the VIN through Porsche's database, so I know what the option codes should be.
I will not be driving the car back. Way too f**king hot, so I don't know what I was thinking.
The car was purchased from TruSpeed back in 2014. I spoke with the owner this morning for about a half hour and the car sounds rock solid and the owner sounds like a straight shooter. PCA member and he has quite a few other air cooled's, and Foreign spoke highly of him as they have serviced many of his other cars.

regarding color- have them send you a photo of the paint tag to confirm if this is PTS or a random color a previous owner wanted.
You may want to see photos of engine compartment and frunk before you head out to see it in person to assure they are the same as body color. If it's not and you are still interested, you can use that as negotiation on the price.
Shipping FL to SCAl , enclosed is $1,400 -$1,500

The code on the VIN check showed "S4"=Prussian Blue.
What shipping company is this that you speak of? I need to find one.

Foreign affairs is good and very active in our PCA region.
I drive mine from PA to FL in the summer with no AC. I too considered shipping but I'm so glad I didn't. Makes for a memorable trip and you really get to know the car. If it's too hot you're not driving fast enough. Definitely sucks when you're stuck in a traffic jam though. I think I lost two or three pounds on that trip.

I'd take your trip over Texas, New Mexico and Arizona in August any day.

Intercity, I think Jim is a sponsor and RL gets a discount. I have been very happy with them, I know others have their favorite vendors. Good luck with this car- Hope it is everything you are looking for.
