Thanks for the heads up...
After having my chin spolier sanded & painted I took a drive with a few other Porsches. When I returned home I found that the whole spolier was chipped up again! To make matters worse, I sraped the spoiler along the front again.
I'm going to order some Plasti-dip.

I'll bring an extra bottle just in case. I picked up several on my last trip to Baton Rouge!

Does anyone know where to get a front splitter for a 2011 gt3 rs? I'm looking on ebay for them, and people are saying they only fit up to a 2011 gt3. Are they not the same? New porsche owner. Thanks.

people say the 997.1 CUP lip is more flexible.. i assume the 997.2 CUP lip is also more flexible? i have oem 997.2 lip and mine is DESTROYED from plowing stones and gravel in texas here..
want to replace it eventually but want something that will flex and give so lasts longer.
also my current lip seems to flop (panel underneath loose.) i guess i need to check and see if any bolts missing on the attachment cause would suck to lose the lip or underpanel on the highway/etc.

I have a new street lip set aside for resale or when appearance matters
I run a cup lip spoiler nearly all the time these days, yes it is scratched but it is very flexible, I once had it catch a curb and unclip to approx. half way and curl right under the car
I backed up, jumped out and clipped it back on again
For whatever reason the cup lip spoilers are considerably cheaper than the street no matter where you source them from my experience and at least for track days reduce the ground clearance at the nose.
my $0.02 worth

Better than that plasti dip is Flat Black Bumper and Trim paint available at your local auto parts store. It won't chip off and coverage is excellent.
