Its official, my 928 is for sale.
Due to many reasons, I have decided to part with my 928. The information I have gotten off this site has been invaluable so I wanted to give everyone here the first crack.
It is an '88 5-speed and has approx. 101k miles( i havent checked the odo since it was stored last winter) but the odo works fine.
Grand Prix White
Black Leather
No LSD
Interior is easily 9/10 with no dash cracks and excellent leather.
There are some stone chips on the front chin, and I plan on touching those up this week.
This was Parker C's Car and I bought it from him in 2008 and have had zero issues since. He had an extensive maintenance history and I have continued that history the best I could.
Timing Belt and Waterpump done shortly before I bought it.
Also
Motor mounts
Oil Pan gasket
Various seals replaced.
New ignition wires
Last year I did Front Rotors and Pads as well as new amsoil diff fluid.
This year I retourqued some oil pan bolts, and replaced all the power steering hoses, and a new reservoir. Replaced the alternator belt and cooling hose at the same time.
Put new Ate Super blue through the brake and clutch system last week as well as a full coolant flush (thanks Dwayne for the awesome write ups).
Brand new Pilot sport 2's on 18" BBS Sportclassic 2 wheels. (rears only, fronts are in good shape still) $630 for 2.
Rear A/C blows nice and cold, front is not quite as cold.
There are plenty of more receipts from the last 3 yrs that I can go over as well.
PPI's are welcome at your expense as I am minutes away from Okemos Auto collection (local dealer) and am off Thursdays and Fridays to take the car there.
I plan on listing on Ebay next week expecting to get approx. $15k for the car.
I would sell it to a lister or acquantance of for 14K.
I am not going to give this car away. 5 speeds are not easy to find and I dont plan on missing any payments, but decided to move on.
I will post pics later today or tomorrow.

Good luck with the sale. Price seems fair for that car; it sounds like an excellent speciman.

Apparently there is someone here in Austin who bought a 928 S4 5spd (88 or 89) w/o first consulting this group and also apparently didn't have a good PPI done (as the left front of the car had been in a MAJOR wreck) and they paid $19k for the car!!!! OMG!!!! OUCH, that hurts to even THINK about! This car is probably 2x as good and less expensive by many $$$$! Sorry you have to sell, someone will be getting a great car!

The car gods must have read this post as I lowered it off the lift bars after putting the new rears on and nothing, no lights or start up. I think I didnt charge the battery up enough before starting the last time.

Here is a maintenance history since 2006 or so. I drove the car and gassed it up and it drove fine. Didn't notice any drips coming from the power steering system.
2006-
Timing belt and water pump (mileage at 86,000)
Cam belt rollers
ignition control unit
crank seal
oil pump reseal $6354
2007-
oil pan gasket
engine mounts
steering rack boots
$2500
2008-
New radiator $1300
Rebuilt ECU
Rebuilt oil cooler lines
new slave cylinder $2300
This work was done in VA when Parker C owned the car.
2009-
New front rotors and pads $ 600
New diff fluid
2010-
New steering hoses
New brake fluid
New coolant
New rear Pilot sports in back
The car has no driving issues but there is one thing I would do if I were keeping the car. I can see a bit of oil that collects in a block recess under the filler neck. I think the oil filler neck needs resealing.
The passenger door lock is loose as well. That is all the issues I believe the car to have. Does not burn oil. I replaced the battery last year but I dont think I kept it charged well over the winter. If it does not hold a charge I will take it back to Autozone and replace it.
Mods were limited to Autothority chips and a powdercoated RMB. It sounds awesome and drove just like it did before putting it away for the winter.
If anyone had any other questions, please pm me.
