It's hilarious some would spec a car just to get attention at C&C. Spec the car the way you like it, who cares what others think.

There are a lot of people who buy cars just because they care about what others think.

That's officially the saddest thing I've ever heard.

They offered me a later build date that is still changeable…

have to buy PPF and ceramic with it.

decisions decisions! Went and seen one in person, it’s a very cool looking car.

Id probably pass on the mag wheels. Are most doing carbon brakes?

Don’t forget, no matter how epic, this car will always be “just a boxster” to the Porsche = 911 crowd. Since you’re peeking over the fence from that side. I don’t know your priority stack.

I got a semi-frosty reception from the hierarchy elements of the 911 crowd with “just” my gt spyder. I am very curious what reception the srs will get (but ultimately don’t care).

Seems so strange that you wouldn't know if you really want one or even how you should spec it without asking here...

Not too concerned about that, I have one of the fastest 992 911 Turbo S in the world, so I think I got the 911 guys covered heheh.

The SRS I saw was sitting next to a 911 SC. It made the SC look like an old man car and the SRS looked like it was ready to party!

I know how to spec it, I’ve already built one. There is a lot of combined knowledge on RL and I am not scared to ask for suggestions and help.

what is strange exactly? You’ve never seen anyone ask for input on specs?

Carbon brakes are frequently left off by guys who track, they burn up and are expensive to replace. Also prone to damage if you crack a rim into them taking a wheel off. Another thing I hate is they score the **** out of the inner barrel of the wheel, due to rocks getting stuck between the large caliper and wheel.

Mag wheels, they are very brittle/soft and prone to damage. Plus the extra cost is better spent somewhere else in my mind? Check out the GT3 section where a guy posted he made contact with another car on the track, his mag wheels were shredded to pieces and the other guys wheels had minor damage.

It is always worth asking about these things if you don't already know the answer, I have PCCB's so I am aware of the possible concerns, as for magnesium wheels, they are for the C&C crowd. I wasn't aware that you were looking campaign the SRS at the track?

I would think give the size of the steels as well there is a possibility of scoring from rocks, not just with PCCB. Hazards of driving a car with large calipers and brake rotors.

I am not a track rat, but to go here and there, the SRS would be much better than the TTS, it is just too highly modified now, too much heat.

I want that 9k redline banger, like the old Intergra Type R, screamin!

Whenever I start to think that way, I remember I would be paying all that money for a 10+ year old car. Time is not kind.
