918 owner and early vip deliveries for collectors that are rarely driven are not a statistical valid sample of all SRS owners.

I definitely expect to see less LWB than 80% if you calculate all the SRS delivered by fall of next year.

What were take rates for gt spyders for each seat type? RS LWBS take rate should at least be higher than that.

At least n4v4nod referenced some metric to make a "prediction", instead of pulling a number out of his...the air.

You can go back to the production number thread and see the Spyder take rate; it was ~30% for LWBS.

Spyder RS little different owner. LWBS “standard”. WP take rates through the roof.

I’m guessing 75/25 and that might be generous for the sofa.

Seriously? 70% sofas in regular spyders? I never would have guessed that.

I had to go through a similar dilemma recently when an opportunity for a pre-configured SRS arriving in a month came up at my local dealer. The car is essentially configured the way I would have done it, with the exception of the magnesium wheels and sofas. While the magnesium wheels can be swapped for a set of after market wheels, I thought I was dead set on LWBS instead of the sofas. The more I thought about it, I came around to seeing the advantages of getting the sofas instead. This car is more of a GT cruiser for back country roads instead of track duty, so I think sofas would better serve this purpose especially when the heated seat option is considered. In Chicago, this could mean extending the driving season because of the heated seats. It also helps that I have LWBS in my GT3, which my wife hates, as well as a set of Recaro Podium CF seats in my 981 Cayman dedicated track car. I am at a point where I think I would select the sofas for the SRS, if I had to do it again.

IIRC, the data showed like 20 2-way, 50 18-way, and 30-LWBS. But, some of this was obviously budget driven.

No, it was the original year by year data. Think Wizee produced the original stuff with more option breakdown…look through the “rare” thread

There is a Global Spyder RS Facebook group.

They have a poll up on seat selection.

Currently 110 votes. Buckets clipping along at 88%.

981 GT4, 991.2 GT3 & 992 GT3 = buckets

991.2 GTS sofa 18 ways

718 Spyder sofa 2 ways

Same experience in all of them, the buckets makes the drive enjoyable for me, more feeling of the car.I regretted do not order them in my regular 718 Spyder so I ordered buckets in my incoming SRS. I’m 5’ 6” and doesn’t bother me the in and out process.. I had a BMW G80 with buckets as my daily for almost 2 years and loved them (best bucket up to date)

Nice to have a do-over! The difference in feel is not subtle.

💯% …the 991.2 GTS shared garage with the 981 GT4, and the 718 Spyder with the 991.2 GT3 and then the actual 992 GT3, driving back to back sofas vs buckets confirmed my decision for next GT cars

Probably more accurate to say with the SRS, you are already paying the upcharge for it even if you decide to go with the 18-ways (you don't get money back).
