All those people speculating and paying ADMs on the 4RS are in for a big surprise - I see dozens in LA, in fact way more than the GT4 on the street, canyons, track and C&C (at least 2 to 1). The SRS is the on to get if holding value is the main consideration.

Can confirm that this appears to be correct. Just had a confirmation on my 4RS order for July/August delivery this year. From what we've been told is that production for the 718 RS will be done in August 2024 for aus with all cars to be delivered before 1st January 2025.

Which one are you waiting for? Tough decision.

Super scientific deduction. I live in Mpls and there is a very healthy GT car population here for a cold weather state. I have had my 4RS for one year and haven't seen another. See how that works? Consider your location..

In the C&D article, Dr. Michael Steiner, head of R&D at Porsche stated the 982 "could" extend beyond those dates. He stated "It depends a little bit on the market. In principle, our strategy is that we try to overlap both [982 and 983], but for the current Boxster and Cayman, we'll run [out of time] due to regulation in Europe." Eventually, it will make sense to end 982 production, but he didn't put a timeline on this. It depends on a number of factors like regulation and customer demand.

I wouldn't get your hopes up for Porsche to continue producing the GT4RS and Spyder RS for the US, and a handful of other markets, when the rest of Europe, Japan, South Korea, and Australia are done. The other 718s, sure. We all know Porsche likes to keep their GT cars in demand, so they are incentivized to cut off production a point less than total demand.

Sure, but that's true for all of the high ADM cars of the past few years. I believe Porsche is going to honor what they said from the very beginning. The GT4 RS will be produced for 2 - 2.5 years and totals will be around 7,000 or slightly above. People who paid the high ADMs of $75K - $100K are certainly under water, but that's also true for the GT3. I don't believe you'll see 4RSs used sitting on dealer lots or the remaining new allocations being offered for MSRP anytime soon. Sure there are a some lucky folks who scored MSRP allocations, but unfortunately that's not the norm.

Looking at the below, if MY24 numbers come in with a similar breakout (the below includes MY22 and MY23), that will bring the production totals to around 7,000 - 8,000. If we get lucky, the US and a few other markets might get a few extra for MY25.

I tried but couldn't find a way to break down ROW by individual markets. Also ROW includes MY22.

I've always said that PAG has never indicated which trims or for how long -- so yes, it is a big unknown. Like we saw with the GT4/Spyder, PAG ended production without much indication. But generally, doesn't PAG continue with top trims RS/Speedster/Spyder until model closeout? Doesn't seem likely that the US would only get one allocation cycle for the Spyder RS -- in fact dealers report known projected allocations for the rest of the year.

EU production or rest of the world 718 sunset dates all academic discussion for me, my RS enters production in 2 months.
