GT4RS/Spyder RS production totals

What do you guys think will be the total production totals for NA, and worldwide for the GT4RS & Spyder RS?

obviously no one knows for certain just how long Porsche will keep making them both.

Early on 7K was quoted for the 4RS WW.

I think that’ll be close.

Spyder RS? End of line special car…much less. But who knows?

Think we’ll have some clue this summer as 718s sunset in EU, Asia, Australia

Plus what do they need out of Osnabrucke?

Very much possible.

There is no 718 RS sunset in EU this year. That'll be summer 2025. I have no clue about Asia and Australia though.

Original word for the SRS was very limited numbers. Was that false info or have plans changed? Only time will tell.

All 718s sunset in EU on 1 July 2024 due to cybersecurity regs.

Asian nations that adapted same will be impacted.

Someone on RL mentioned that in AUS, they sunset this year due to safety standards— auto braking.

Well documented

That does not apply to the 718 RS versions. They are exempt because "limited production" EU loophole. Porsche is not stupid, of course they'll want to sell 2K+ SRS in EU.

Oh, ok. Think you’re the first to post this.

Good gouge if true for EU.

I’m in the US and have an allocation so just arcane info for me.

Suspect someone from the EU will chime in…

Agree with shaggy on this. Every single thing we have heard so far is that all ICE 718 production stops in Europe after June 2024, and in Australia after August 2024.

It would be nice for our European/Australian friends if Spyder718 is correct about the SRS/4RS getting a production exemption, but I’m not going to believe that statement unless he can produce a solid citation that proves it.

Exactly ,,,I,ve been reading UNECE regulations R155 & R156 and I can,t find low production exemptions ,,maybe he can help us about some solid citation ,,,but it seems a little bit odd ,,,, here at spain some important dealers told me no more ICE 718 production ,,but lets see in a few months ....

How many 4RS Vin's are we at for the USA so far if you've pulled that recently?

982s ending sale in EU because upcoming cybersecurity deadline was briefed to media at RR7.

PAG R&D Chief briefed: “The June 2020 regulations will come into effect in Europe, Japan, and South Korea in July 2024 – marking the end of the 982 Boxster and Cayman in those markets.

Dr Steiner said the 982 will continue in other markets without those regulations…”

Does the size of the RL total allocation of only 57 provide any insight? How large is the RL community of total buyers for the SRS? Might the RL total for GT4RS provide any insight?

57 seems a pretty small number and RL members are not only US-domiciled. How many SRS cars do people think have already been committed to production in calendar 2024? Seems possible that those may be the lion's share of the total that are ultimately produced.
