I'm in the Midwest as well in the St. Louis area. I have a Carmine Red BGTS that I absolutely love. I was going to get Guards Red, but I switched to Carmine when I realized that was the red on the GTS interior. If you are considering Carmine, I would get it with the GTS interior. Here are my options:

Carmine Red
Roadster Top in Black
Leather/Race-Tex Interior in Black/Carmine Red
Tachometer Dial in Carmine Red
GTS Interior Package
Wheels Painted in Silver
Fire Extinguisher
Smoking Package
Light Design Package
Steering Wheel and Gear Lever in Leather
BOSE« Surround Sound System
Navigation including Porsche Connect
Voice Control
Storage Compartment Lid in Race-Tex with Porsche Crest
Steering Column Casing in Leather
Headlight Cleaning System Covers Painted in Exterior Color
Door-Sill Guards in Stainless Steel, Illuminated

After over a year of ownership, I wouldn't change any of those options. The only thing I would add would be race-tex visors. One of the standouts to me is the steering column casing in leather - it's very noticeable behind the wheel. Here are a couple of photos:

Congrats on your allocation. Personally i would do below

1. Remove GTS interior package, stitching is not worth 5K although looks good. GTS car should have come with GTS interior package by default
2. Remove 18 way seats, again not worth 3k
3. Add Premium package
4. Go with black wheels on a red car
5. Add pre wiring for dashcam
6. Add supplemental bars in body color
7. Add Steering Wheel and Gear Lever in Leather

Please God, don't go with the black wheels - that trend simply must stop If you must change them, go platinum...

Ugh

One of the big downsides of a 992 GTS is those darn black wheels - somehow someone, somewhere decided that "Black wheels must make the car faster"

I just took delivery of my GTS about 6 weeks ago as my daily driver. Just a few
coments…

- I love GTS interior and the 18 ways -
- I got the radar detector wiring but didn’t use it as I installed the FITCAMX - super clean looking
- BOSE left me underwhelmed so I already replaced the tweeters with burmeister
- heated sport steering wheel is quite thin and hard. Wish I would have chosen differently

Looks great. I'm still debating GR and GTS interior, I don't think it will clash. I will likely keep the seatbelts in black so there is not too much red all around.

1. If I remove this, what would be the alternative? Just plain black leather?
2. I thought about this but apparently with the 18way you are gaining some comfort, not just the adjustments.

What do you like about the GTS interior?

I won't get the heated steering wheel, just the regular one, no buttons either.

it just has a great look and feel to it. The leather and deviated stitching are striking. And the face Tex seating surfaces are very grippy. Everyone who sees it raves over how it looks

1.The standard one that comes with Race tex interior in black , 0 cost option. Not the leather.
2. Its the same seat as 2 way except power adjustments and lumbar support i think
