I would think that the driving experiences / feel of those two cars would be pretty different, but perhaps not?

Size, sound, transmission, suspension, weight, open top vs. coupe, mid vs. rear engine are just a few things that come to mind.

I have a 992 GT3 Manual and the SRS and totally different experience for me, the intake noises, open roof, the handling, the interior etc

I have a Manual GT4 and a SRS and both are different enough for me that I'm keeping both :P

I consider the 992 GT3 pdk and 4RS to be similar enough that I don't really need both. I expected them to be more different than they are. I could more easily justify having a 992 GT3 manual and SRS.

To me the ultimate Porsche garage would be an SRS + a manual GT/RS product which is why I'm planning on selling my 4RS when my SRS comes in and I have a 997.1 GT3RS on the way for the SRS + 997.1 3RS combo. Different enough to make you think which one is the better choice for the specific task of that day.

Fords are very different indeed so you'll definitely achieve your goal! 👍

I'm pretty sure he's referring to a Ferrari not Ford.

I wasn't a convertible guy until I had an opportunity to buy the SRS and couldn't pass it up. Since having it, it's a different experience even when I drive my GT4 with both windows down and part of that isn't just being topless, but also the location of the intakes and the noise. If my GT4 was PDK or if the SRS had a 6MT option, I would have just one, but I need to have at least 1 manual sports car.

That F8 you have your eye on is priced about right, depending on spec and condition.

This car is LOUD with the top up and the weather proofing down. Every time I pass, she ear plugs herself lol. I recorded 110db inside the cabin middle by the NAV. (iPhone app)

with the top down it’s loud but much more tolerable.
