"Last Updated" date is when your last milestone completed. My completion date has changed a few times after that date. So although that date hasn't changed, doesn't mean your schedule hasn't.

My last update changed on 27 Feb when the build commencement milestone was updated to that date.

This, mine shows last updated 2/19 which is when it entered production.

Those that experience TYD date changes, does the “Last updated” line change?

Since you haven’t reached your freeze date yet, you won’t see an update to that date. Once you reach your freeze date, it should change.

My dealer referred yesterday to unspecified 'carbon shortages' that might delay production.

Anyone hearing similar?

Those are likely the same shortages that were referenced as reasons for limited SRS production on car launch. Huh, go figure.

First I've heard of any shortages -- carbon or otherwise -- that may delay production.

Anecdotally, it appears WP takes rates are quite high so it's possible that the CF sub is being overwhelmed.

I hope not.

I think there will always be supply shortages since Porsche (like almost every other marque out there) has adopted a JIT manufacturing and assembly line model.

And when you rely on 3d party sources for certain parts, it's hard to be nimble and account for hiccups in the supply chain.

For me the Last Updated section changed when my order locked, I'm guessing that whenever your car enters a new step, the last updated date will also change.

It is my understanding that WP or not, the parts are CF. Just exposed in the WP.

Mostly accurate. Don’t forget the Weissach package adds a carbon fiber gurney flap, makes the rear brake light trim piece carbon, and makes the supplemental head restraints carbon — so these would be additional carbon bits that need to be supplied.

I know there are styling changes, but for the most part, the large CF parts are on the non WP car. just painted.. If it saves weight, Id be all for it, but its negligible, unless you get the magnesium wheels.. It seems like too much $ for keeping the paint off and adding the dash and some small bits.. just my personal opinion..
