Default Help me pick a wheel color - cannot decide

Hello all,

I have a build allocation and have spent countless hours on the Porsche configurator (as have everyone else). I need some inputs on the wheels, specifically wheel colors, as it's hard to figure out what works best

Essentially an Aventurine Metallic Green Boxster with Carrera Sport wheels. Interior, I am going with Bordeaux Red + Black

I am leaning towards the Satin Black painted wheels, but not 100% convinced. Would unpainted (Platinum silver) match better as Visualizer doesn't show it accurately. Or is a Metallic or High Gloss Black better? I ask both from looks, maintenance and cleaning perspective.

(Picture here is with Satin Black color)

Picture with standard wheels (not rendering correctly)

My build code is PRLKJNT7

Have a CGTS on order. GT Silver. Went with platinum. More classic IMO. Both are great.

Black looks a bit more “sporty”, silver looks more classic. My vote would be black, but I prefer the sportier look. Can’t really go wrong 😁

I really like this wheel design, and normally I'd vote for Platinum but I believe when you select Platinum the whole wheel is painted one color. Therefore, my vote is Black. Though I prefer Gloss Black. Good luck!

OP, are you sure about Aventurine exterior with Bordeaux interior? It's a bold combo.

I was unsure too. Someone I know has this combo and looked great. Yes. It is bold but it probably works. Am I crazy? Appreciate the candid thoughts on this.

As someone said black is more sporty. Silver is more classic.

Aventurine green is hte opposite of sporty. That color should have silver or aurum rims. Aurum rims and a red interior with a green exterior is a no go though.

I find it amusing that someone would join multiple forums to ask strangers about something which is 100% personal preference. You clearly have strong opinions about what works in terms of exterior/interior colours, so get what you like, not what others like. A bunch of people saying get this or get that isn't going to convince you anyhow. If you are that unsure, clearly either wheel will work for you.

Thanks for commenting. I think I am set on the interior color, partially on the exterior color and cannot make up my mind about the wheel colors, from a style, maintenance etc. perspective. This is my first ever Porsche, and it's hard to decide with all these choices. The dealers don't have as many cars on their lot to see how combinations would look like. Yes, the replies will likely be split, but they do give me a lot to think about and look at things differently.

I dunno, i ask questions when I'm on the fence or wondering if something is a little too out there. Plus lots of stuff on the configurator and pictures looks very different then what shows up in real life. I know you're right and lots of people ignore everything said in these threads and just pick what they were going to pick, but if someone asks I assume they're looking for advice they might follow.

IMO, agate grey goes a lot better than green with red interior.

I have GT silver with red, another classic combo.
