I'm currently getting a set painted as well to go on my spyder.
Where do the inserts double tape to the scoop?

^ The square and round bosses are present on these. They don’t have pilot holes as provided.

Do you think that just putting 3M VHB tape where the bosses are instead of screws will work to keep the scoops from coming off?

The PET does note that these screws are used. If you read this post https://www.718forum.com/threads/201...53/post-362041 it provides part numbers and a procedure on how to install which includes drilling pilot holes in the bosses.

It did not work for me. For casual street driving, maybe - but once you get to velocities where time dilation has be considered mine got loose.

It's how the factory does it on the GT4 and Spyder. If it's good enough for Weissach, it's good enough for me

You'd never know if you'd paid someone instead of doing it yourself.
