The first side took almost 2 hours as I hit a few snags (ie. trimming screws, marking holes, etc) and the factory vent is on there so tight, I felt like I was going to break something. The OEM screws are too long for the top mount location. I ended up shaving about 3mm off otherwise they’d poke through the black grill inserts.

The second side took under 40 mins wheels up to wheels down.

I added small 1” sections of double sided tape in the recessed areas that look like they were made for it in the right fitting spots. Doesn’t hurt for better fitment

These scoops totally change the look of the car and are so worth the effort!

Looks killer! Weird, I used the factory part screw # and they weren't too long for the top location...

BTW, everyone has this small gap right? It is between the black scoop on the rocker and the internal scoop that's inside the rocker/fender and is part of a tube that goes all the way up to the intake filters.

I have a gap from the backside of that edge of the GT4 inner grill against the factory ductwork but it is not as noticeable as in your photo. Might just be the angle I captured the pic?

Who did you guys get to fill in the GT4 and color match? I asked bumperplugs but they don’t want to do it because they say the fill won’t stay in over time. Seems like a straightforward body shop thing.

I used a trusted body shop near me that has done larger painted parts jobs in the past. They filled it on and painted it - no way to tell there was anything there and they said it will last as long as the car.

Eric is too busy to bother with such things since he is business is painting. I have used him a lot for years for small parts, and he is the best.

I used a local higher end bodyshop.
Instead of using bondo to fill in the GT4, they smoothed it out with a sander. Said it's the cleanest way vs adding 3rd party material (filler/bondo) unnecessarily that can sometimes heat and contract at a different rate to the plastic scoop leaving a rippled look. There is enough scoop material to smooth out without issue.

Thanks, yeah it looks same to me. Really no way to install these incorrectly as long as the vents are clipped in and the rocker's on the car flush. Must just be the angle. It's a small gap, enough for a small rock or something to get stuck in maybe.

I bet if you get your hands in there and feel around, you'll feel the tip poking through where it shouldn't be. It's not a big deal and you'll never see them unless you go looking but knowing in advance that it's a thing, you might as well cut them back. I only noticed after finishing my first side and couldn't be bothered to take it apart again to fix it.

Yeah. As matt0520 mentioned... there's no way to get this wrong. They clip on exactly where they should be. Unless you've got some weird gap around the outside of them or the whole panel isn't lined up right, then they're fine. Mine look just like yours.

I looked quickly and didn't see them, I don't want to look further and see them poking through lol. They're holding so all is good!
