Motor = ~ $30k, gears = $8k - $10k, exhaust = $0 - $20k, LSD = ~ $3k
Given what Dundon said about their headers, and scavenging, along with 4.5 pushing the limits of 9k and 13.4 CR, maybe Miles' exhaust choices needed more fuel map customization. I also think the "GT3" 4.5 is relatively new, so, teething.

For the DeMan upgrade, not sure what he does other than install new gears to help it survive being bashed around at 450 ft/lbs?

Upgraded clutch is installed, and 4.5 builds have been send out sans transmission changes...from what I understand. The "re-gear" is mostly a "different ratio" thing, as opposed to drive line hardening.

So, if the transmission is good for these power levels without real problems, then it serves to silence those that told me in posts the reason Porsche doesn't put a MT behind the GT3 engine in the 718 chassis was that it was too weak.

Not sure what all the excitement is around the sound, it's uninspiringly bassy and tonally very flat. Needs a muffler that mixes the banks.

It depends on what the owner is looking for. To me, it sounds like a 60s/70s GP car...and not like all the other stock 4L, so, it's different.

please, let nobody on the interwebs ever repeat the mistake of combining them on the same vehicle.

The original source of these gearboxes was the Euro market Audi A4 TDi. They were designed for a high torque application and the first 987 boxes even had the auto Union Audi 4 rings.
With 987.2 they made a new case casting for the DFi engine bolt pattern and from then on out they all had the Porsche trademark triangle P on them. At the same time they actually beefed up the size of the ring.
Power never has been or will be the limiting factor on these gearboxes. Guys in South Africa use them in 917 replicas with twin turbo audi sixes making nearly double the “big” GT4 engines US vendors build.

Because in practicality, there is nothing to talk about. Minimum wrenching and mods.
RL threads are mainly broken up by the following popular topics.
- Resale value & ADM (not paying but everyone knows the calling numbers and of course everyone gets theirs at MSRP) threads.
- PCCB vs Irons.
- Colors, deviated stitching, configurator validations.
- Love all vendors (the usual big names making revenue here), support YouTubers, Influencers.
Not towing the line is basically frown upon and deemed an outcast, troll by the RL caste.
