I think it controls the auto wiper settings as well, though I could be wrong. I find the high beam assist generally pretty good, but do agree it can be slow at times.
no, there is a separate sensor for rain, independent of the auto high-beam camera.
I opted for no rain sensing wipers, but it still has the same rear-view mirror mount as those cars with rain sensors. I suppose the sensor and wiring are just not present in my case despite the housing being the same.

Yes, but you can only get blue or black. Other colors are not available.
