Timing is everything! When the opportunity to buy a new one for MSRP was there, it wasn't in the budget. Once the budget improved, the chance to buy one at MSRP was gone. At least the budget moved up enough to cover the ADM!
I'll never understand why people buy G wagons; it's one of the mercs I just wouldn't ever want, even if I got to drive one for free. It's small inside and not enjoyable to drive, hard to get in and out of, was designed in 1980 or whatever, and when I see one rolling around at night it look like Liberace did the light package on them. One of my coworkers got a G wagon last winter that he ordered before covid made them unobtainium and he didn't like it at all. They have impressive suspensions but the only thing they're going to utilize it for is backing over a curb at the shopping mall.
Civics are receiving ADM's too actually... my buddy was at a local dealership here a few months ago - I think he said they were asking 6k over MSRP. Ridiculous!
So much for ADM's retreating a bit. You just are not seeing that kind of action on Lamborghini's. Would an Urus have an adm? I don't think so but I could be wrong. Pretty sure you could order one anyway you want with no adm and get it in 12-18 months.
I was just down in South Florida and I saw loads and loads of G-Wagons. I saw one Urus. Many Huracans. I saw one RR Cullinan.

It's one of the ugliest expensive cars on the road, looks like a box with tires on it. In the coming years it'll depreciate like a stone.
