MB ADMs are crazy

I don’t understand the appeal of the g wagon either.
It is easy to get people with money to open up the wallet: create hype, exclusivity, and tell them they can’t get it.
If you have FU $, it is worth it for them to drop the coin so that you can post on IG.

The sad part is a lot of chaps are happy to be bent over and take it without lube. Problem is that many Americans are impatient and/or love showing off.

If I'm gonna spend that kind of $$$ on an SUV it'll be a Urus.

I just don’t understand the appeal of this over say a Cayenne Turbo, a Range Rover, Bentley Bentayga or any number of comfortable high end status SUVs in most urban suburban settings where these vehicles will be driven.
I am guessing there most be some celebrities who drive these things which gives them cache and status. Kinda like a pint sized slightly more refined version of the original Hummer as I see it.

A (rich) fool and their money are easily parted.

Having owned an F82 M4 before my first GT4, I can honestly say I’d never buy another BMW again. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the thing. But, for the amount they cost, the build quality just isn’t there. Whilst the GT4 felt like the price tag, the M4 absolutely didn’t. Interior was awful, literally creaked as it was cheap n’ nasty and only held in with clips. Not to mention the random error codes etc…
In addition to my 2022 Boxster 25 Years, I also owned a 2018 Stelvio Quadrifoglio (4 years), and that too has been flawless, as well as a 2018 4C Spider (owned for 2 years). I love my Boxster 25 Years, but it did spend approximately 8 weeks in the service department for a fuel leak that was misdiagnosed by 2 prior Porsche Service Departments. Extremely lucky it did not catch on fire while driving or burn down my house. Every brand can have ups and downs, but my experience with BMWs has been overall less than stellar. Never again! Would also never pay an ADM for any car.

and I would rather drive a golf R than a base c class Benz or 3 series sedan personally. Most BMWs and Benz's have lost all character. I had an f80 M3 CS which I enjoyed, but the new G8x gen lost me. Same with this new 4 cylinder c class AMG. No thanks.

But that's just it. Even if you love showing off, how did the G-wagon ever become something to show off? It is so hideous. As people have mentioned...Urus, Bentayga, DBX 707, etc. You could get a PTS Cayenne Turbo GT with all the Porsche Exclusive customizations you could want, and a set of the most expensive HRE carbon wheels for less than that G-wagon.
