This is just my opinion:
  • keep the new ones as your winter set
  • the OEM rims look quite a bit better to my eye than the aftermarket set
  • if you ever go to sell the car without the OEM wheels you’ll take a bigger hit on the value than what you’ll get for the rim and tire package

Nice! I've had mine for a year now. You will love it.
Particularly since it's now top-down season here!

I am disappointed there are no teaser pics.

Also jelly of your weather.

This is a month ago. She is still having a winter nap.

Hello Sir,

255/35x20 fronts and 295/35x20 rears...Hi Terry!

From your pictures your set-up to me looks nice.

I'm not going to get preachy guys on the Michelin AS/4 (Ultra High Performance All-Season) so don't PANIC.
I think you will like and enjoy the AS/4 tires.
Jim Dillard with his Spyder has them as well as myself.
I have now put thousands of miles on mine and haven't had any issues.
Also with us now in the winter months and driving in low 20-Degree temperatures they are working and doing as they should.

Also from reading the thread about Porsche stopping production on some of the Porsche cars like the GT4.
I'm glad I have mine and luckily I did get to order it with every option I wanted.

Terry

255 for the front? GT4 is only 245...usually recommended to go "narrower" for "winter/snow". The front "tread" looks wider than the rim...could possibly have gone wider for the front wheels, if that was the goal?

OP is in AZ it looks like, so I don't expect them to be trudging through the white stuff (sorry, the forum doesn't allow me to say 4 letter swear words). VS myself here in MN looking at 1-3" arriving overnight. I did drive my GTS on some Alpin PA4s last year, and they did just OK in the white stuff, but I'm using a previous set from my Panamera, so I already had the 245/275 tires on the wheels. I was unfairly comparing to Hakka R2s that were running 225, and a Quattro A4 manual. I had my fun last year breaking in and am not choosing to drive my car this year. The setup looks good, but I would side with Uncle, the size and weight of the OEM wheels are quite valuable, and they will be perfect to keep for dedicated summer tires down the road. I wouldn't encourage you to drive year round on All Seasons as I think they wouldn't have as stiff as sidewall, and do as well in the warmer temps of your summer. I'm not sure if your originals were Pirelli or Michelin, but I am looking forward to ditching my PZeros and getting some Michelin Pilot Sport 4s (not the all seasons), for summer time.
As Terry said, the summer tires will diminish quickly on grip, breaking and cornering when it's below 45, and even more so under 40. They just don't have the physical compound to do well in the colder temps....I could argue some aspects that the A/S will not be as ideal in the warmer temps for the same reasons. But do what you like! I have some old wheels from my 987 Cayman that I've been tempted to put on my Cayman, for having smaller diameter wheels and running different/larger tires (plus shaving a few pounds from factory at each corner is somewhat appealing too). Enjoy, they are truly wonderful cars and it will be more than well worth the wait that many of us have had to endure!

GREAT SPEC......love the look....under the radar.......I have GT Silver and would recommend taking a look at the clear side marker lights on Suncoast....around $125 and they blend in better than the orange......when lit, they light up orange....(as 99% of the forum already knows) :-)
EASY to replace....
