I’ll pass.
that was my expectation also!

Whoa, some more info on the bolded part, please? Maybe not applicable to the GT4s, but I didn't think wireless carplay from the factory was even an option, much less one that would be neutered by selecting the 'pre-wiring' that seemingly has no wiring whatsoever....

This isn't an option.

It is promise not kept.

Configurator is very misleading.

Whatever, at least I got a nice discount on my car.

If you want wireless CarPlay in the 718 platform, they make an aftermarket dongle that plugs into your Consol USB port that supports wireless CarPlay. Works pretty well. I can find the brand I bought if anybody’s interested.

That was my impression as well when I added this to my spec. Thankfully, it was "only" $150, but if it's less than what you described, it's a waste of $!

There's not a damn thing Porsche have published to clarify and the configurator is at best misleading and at worst pure fabrication.

I don't know if it makes a difference, but this was in ref to a UK GT4RS where the dash cam prep is listed fitted as standard, and no further option on this. If you're paying for it as an option then maybe there is more to it, maybe there's dashcam prep, and dashcam+ prep 🤔😁

The blue /white plug looks like an antenna junction box. No electrical connection there.

I also opted for the dash cam preparation , if true it is only a fuse , it definitely is a ripoff!

This 'preparation charge' doesn't sound promising, so is it possible to actually order the Porsche camera at the same time?

I ordered my Spyder with the Dashcam prep and got a Dashcam from Suncoast parts, gave it to my dealer to install before delivery. Dash cam prep is probably as stated above, just a fuse box spot to attach the cable that comes with the dash cam. Dealership needs to take apart quite a few pieces to run the cable to the fuse box. As for wireless CarPlay, not sure that that’s really an issue. The dash cam does not need Bluetooth to work, it comes on and records events automatically when you turn the ignition on. You use a Wi-Fi connection to your phone or iPad if you want to see video playback or adjust settings. Events are recorded onto the included SD card
