Counterpoint to the above, I actually enjoy the 4RS on street quite a bit but expect it to truly shine on track. I'm 4 minutes away from some of the best canyon roads in CA (Muholland, Stunt, Decker, Encinal, etc) and the car is a blast but could easily be doing those roads and having fun in a Boxster S or base 911. Neither of those two cars have the theater and experience of the 4RS or GT3 though. I agree, this car is not a sane choice for mostly public roads but don't give AF.

Picking up the car today from the shop with proper geo and rear links installed. Can't wait.

I feel like I was targeted because the car looks racy, is loud, and looks expensive. Cop said he estimated I was doing 55 in a 30 coming over a crest. It was a straight open section of road with no other cars or people around, no houses. No one drives 30 through there unless they’re over age 75.

Were you doing 55? If so then were you really targeted, or was the car just louder than the Camry that went through and it drew his attention?

I think close to 55, maybe less, I was deliberately going slow because there was no point going fast in that relatively straight section. When the cop followed me and I dropped to 30, it incredibly slow. I believe I was targeted because of the car.

Fight the ticket. Seems subjective and that should be thrown out, likely a lazy LEO that didn’t bother using his tools. I think all LEO around me have radar built-in to their cars.

Will fight it and expect that it will be tossed, the LEO probably won't even show up in court. He was Maryland Environmental Police and I suspect that he doesn't even have radar. I think he was bored and in a mood to target guys in sports cars, many of which drive through that area. I accept getting a ticket when caught speeding - fair is fair - but do it the right way with objective measurement using radar/laser. Eyeballing someone's speed when they're not even going fast for the conditions is bs.
