ah yes, the equal-restraint rule, true. oh well! I'm very happy with my 18-ways, but I would admit it would be fun to me, the driver, to try out/use the buckets just for the feeling of it. Defintely not wrt holding-you-in power!

I mean... if you wedge your purse between your knee and the door it'll probably do the trick too.

Just on the street, I was abke to easily outdrive the 18-ways in my 981. On my 982 I specced LWBS but have yet to see a track.

For me it was a no brainer after experiencing the differences in the entire driving feel of the car from normal sport seats to bucket seats (Recaro Sportster CS) in my old E92 M3. There’s so much more chassis information flowing to your body being hunkered in like that and it made me feel much more one with the car, even just putting around town. I can’t ever go back to normal seats in my fun car.

That’s not to dog on 18-ways; the “right” choice depends on what’s right for the driver. The Porsche adaptive sport seats are definitely some of the best non-bucket seats offered by any automaker.

I dont know why anyone would not want LWBS, it's like being offered the opportunity to have 2 wives?

I know people who know people who would spend a lot of money on not having a single wife, or rather, never having had a wife

Ok so another tip here is, on my $20k a set 991 Speedster LWB's the back rest is extremely firm and pushes my shoulders away from being supported for the upper seat wings., I just love to rest in the whole seat. So after tons of thought the solution is to remove the OEM item foam backrest supports and replace it with 6cm thick memory foam (cut from a new mattress topper and everyone is a winner)

In the words of my friend who tried my LWBS out "I'm stuck. Seriously, I can't get out. I need help."
And 2 wives? I can barely keep up with 1. A second would kill me.
