Let’s just admit that the whole car is annoying…
The ticking, the gear grind, the fabric door handles, the fact that it requires a key, and the key is on the wrong side, the loud exhaust on startup, the not loud enough exhaust when I want it to be louder, the particulate filters, the Auto Start/Stop, the electric parking brake, the hill hold, the long gearing, the fear of speeding tickets, the light squirt nubbins, the Sirius wart, the allocation process, the cost of basic options like CarPlay, the cost to begin with, the additional ADM on top of that, the excruciating wait if you order one, the people staring at me, the comments they make at gas stations, the young punk’s that want to race me. the list goes on…

@SpeedySpidey You're my hero

Just think how much more they would sell for if they weren't so annoying!

Ya, it's so terrible it makes me want to get it as far away from my house as possible until I realize it's time to turn around and go home. I can't count how many times I've repeated that chore now and the worst part is I keep having to do it myself as I can't bring myself to let someone else shoulder that burden. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, so I guess I'll have to keep this thing for as long as I can bare it. What a curse to have.

I'll dislike my car almost continuously, once this cooling trend gets us to somewhere reasonable. Even with the <gasp!> bucket seats!

Main downside of buckets is lack of seat heating. How are you going to not have heated seats in a Spyder in any northern climate?

I don't think I've ever used heated seats in my life. Even in weather where its super cold. I just don't like the feeling of only my butt being warm. Its just weird to me.

The full bucket seats are the most comfortable ones Porsche currently offers.
Just learn the easy way to ingress and egress.
Rent a Lotus Elise if you need remedial training.

Elise owner here. Getting in/out Elise is harder but the seats are WAY more comfortable (for me) than Porsche buckets. At least Exige style buckets I have in my Elise Sport.

I always enjoyed getting in and out of my Elise with the hard top on, like climbing into a mail slot. But yeah, once you were in they were great.

Yup. The major reason I did not get buckets, along with a seating position that is too upright for me. And I have started using my seat heaters already. When the air temps get into the 60's, I either need seat heaters or more clothing. Since part of the fun of a drop-top is the whole "freedom" experience, and the feel of the open air, I don't want to get bundled up in clothing. I put the heat on to 82 directed at my feet, and seat heater on. Temps into the low 50s, the heated steering wheel goes on. If I am going to have to drive with a winter jacket and hat, might as well have gotten a hardtop.

The Buckets are the only way I would own a GT car. I find then more them comfortable for a few hour drive.

I think the buckets look really cool and fit the style of the GT car. With that said, I spec’d 2 way and my freeze date was the 16th so that’s what I’m locked in with. Just felt like it was the most comfortable choice for me long term.
