What is particularly frustrating/disappointing is the lack of communication from Porsche. Myself and the dealer are in the dark with zero updates since 2/13. Delays happen, I understand. What I can’t wrap my head around is the radio silence.

If I were in your position I would pick two or three cars from this group and trade them in on the new cars.

Less to take care of and more room for the next one 😳

I thought of that, but all of those cars have reasons for staying:

- 2011 C63 sedan is a good car to take to work, and is special because of the NA 6.2 L V8 engine. A proper German muscle car. Nothing else I own has that kind of torque curve. Hydraulic steering also feels really good. The car has less than 50k miles on it and is excellent condition.

- 2010 E93 M3 convertible has a fantastic drivetrain with high-revving NA 4.0 L V8 which sounds uniquely great and an excellent DCT transmission with five levels of aggression. And it's fun to drive and feels small, the last M3 that felt reasonably small. And I can take it to work without drawing too much attention. The car has only 30k miles on it.

- 2013 Cayenne GTS has more than 100k miles on it and is our utility vehicle. Despite the miles, it's in excellent condition.

- 2007 997 C2S is one of only two manual cars we have and feels much closer to an old-school 911 than the 991 and 992 cars. It has only about 35k miles on it.

Good problem to have. Perhaps a bigger garage or a hoist?

We have a 9-car garage which is full, and a barn garage which can hold a couple cars. The garage has room for four lifts, so could potentially hold 13 cars, but it would be crowded garage with most of the cars not easily accessed.

Honestly, I think it's too many cars. And I'm not a collector, have just accumulated cars because we added more than we sold. Feels like hoarding.

Being in my late 50s, I figure I have about another decade to enjoy cars, then I'll probably slow my driving and start selling cars, so I'm kind of indulging in cars while I still have that decade remaining. And who knows, it might not even be a decade, life can have surprises.

I am in the exact same place. Today I drove my parents to the doctor. While parking I saw a sign that said parking for elderly and I got all excited since my parents are in their 80's I was able to park. When I got out and looked at the sign it said 55+. I was like DAMN I'm elderly.

Enjoy it while we can.

Yeah, I've been getting mailings from AARP for a few years, which I do NOT appreciate! My mom passed away 17 years ago at age 67, and that made me acutely aware that life can be shorter than expected. There are no guarantees.

Having owned an E92 M3 and an E90 M3, I'd tell you to sell the E93. The bad news is that I'd then tell you to get an E90 M3, so your problem would remain unsolved.

lol, yes I've been keeping my eye out for a nice local example of a coupe or sedan. They're much lighter than the convertible, and imagine substantially better handling. OTOH, the convertible experience is really nice, and the engine sound is pretty glorious with the top down.

It is now very close to the Euro Delivery buffer, so I really hope they will complete on time this time around.
So after they moved my (already several time moved) completion date from 3/6 to 3/22, i suddenly got notice early morning 3/13 that my car completed production! A 2 day delayed birthday present

Looking forward for the Euro Delivery during April/May

My dealer just told me yesterday that my car has been released for transport. Should be there any day now.

I promise the wait is worth it. This car is unlike anything i've ever driven before. All of my family wanted rides in it, which is rare.

wow love the car!! Would you mind telling how long the delay was for the stripe? My understanding is it gets produced without stripe first and gets painted afterwards?

I joined AARP before I turned 50 because you could and you could take advantage of the travel discounts. Some of their travel discounts are the best you can get. Not all so you still have to shop around but it was worth it.

Did anyone get production pics of their 2024 4RS? Mine left Germany a few days ago and I have not seen any production pics.
