The dual track previous gen ICE and EV is true for the Macan but not 718. 718 will be only EV due to it lower volume and cost to offer both. Macan is a bread and butter volume model and Porsche cannot afford to offer only EV versions especially to developing markets that are not big on EV adoption and infrastructure for EVs.

Porsche must have completely underestimated how popular the stripe option would be. More than 35% of the MY24 cars for NA have selected that option already. Someone at Porsche is gonna be busy painting these stripes for a while.

I bet if cars get made for MY25 Porsche will increase the price of this option since it's obviously too cheap and demand is high. Basically a no brainer for 2k as long as you're okay with a 3month+ delay to your build. It's interesting that it was a 10k+ option for CXX but only 2k now in the config.

How can you tell that 35% of MY24 cars in NA have the stripe option? It is an interesting statistic. At the time I placed the order I didn’t realize how it would impact my build schedule. I still would have selected it because I think option is going to look great.

so is this not a decal sticker but actually painted on? Does anyone have details on the production process of it?

Yeah, it's a hand painted stripe... that's why it is made by CXX and why it adds so much time to production.

I added to my build and would 100% would do it again.

Me too! everyone says the build will be worth it. I have a brand new 992 C2S coming tomorrow, so i'm not suuuuper like anxious to get it, two new cars in 4 weeks would've been too much for me lol

Same with me...Car started production in early July but now shows an estimate of end of August before it is complete. Wing was missing from the TYD pic. Looks like this is going to push my build by almost 2 mos.

I have a MY23. CXX was not an option at the time of my build. I would have no issue in the delay to have the hood and wing stripe. It looks so cool! Congrats to you all who are able to add the option at a reasonable price. My only consolation was I got PTS Gulf Orange.

Mine went through production and has arrived to the port in Germany. All on time.
