@drcollie Amazingly helpful post; MUCH appreciated.
@LexVan I should file a claim through PCNA before the dealer rejects me (assuming they do)? Deep thanks for the support offer; I hope it doesn’t come to that. The prospect of the mess this could be has me pretty apprehensive/bummed, tbh.
The support on rennlist between members is something special.

Boom! Dealer ordered a new dash, no questions asked or hassle. But, they predict due to deviated stitching and the current supply situation, a year plus on receipt. Which is actually fine with me. I get a brand new dash on a year+ old car; I'd take that for a dollar!
Thanks for everyone's help and insights.

Congrats on the new dash, but do you really want the dealer ripping out and reinstalling a dash for something so minor? I agree, the ill fitting leather would bother me, but based on my dealership experiences, I would cut my losses. YMMV.

OP should take the new replacement dash and store it somewhere climate controlled as insurance in case/when the dash starts to peel away from the windshield.

Glad to hear that they willing to replace it, but how extensive is the work required? The dash seems a lot more involved than simply replacing some trim so I would definitely be worried about the technicians not doing a careful job and creating more problems (or rattles) down the road.
