Really glad to hear you got the outcome you wanted. i have a similar issue in sydney and I hope it goes the same way.

Man, that sucks. It looks bad enough for me to want it replaced but I say that knowing that sometimes the solution is worse than the symptom. I spent ten years in dealership service departments and my confidence level in them making a proper repair without leaving things loose or missing is not sky high. Sorry this happened to you.

Ya, its rolling the dice on if they're going to cause other new problems changing a dash. So many things can go wrong and is a job every tech hates. Low efficiency for hours, high risk of comeback and it doesn't likely pay enough even if warranty pays full book time, which warranty usually doesn't.

Just saw a car posted for sale online with a sorta similar issue. This area looks to be a tight spot for the leather to wrap around that screen.
