Over rev in a gt4?
I’m looking at a used 2020 gt4 with 20k miles. Had a ppi on it and there is at least one over rev (3) of 440 ignition cycles and the clutch needs replacement.

What was the MSRP and current asking price?
Who pays for the clutch?
What does the rest of the PPI say?
Ask a SM about the zone 3 over revs and warranty.
I’d run unless way below market, high miles to boot!

It’s under market value but still over msrp. These are all crazy expensive at this point.
Rest of the ppi is fine abs the selling dealer will replace the clutch.
my local sm said to run from it. I’m assuming an rover rev is due to a miss shift. That said I plan on tracking the car and I doubt I will never miss a shift in its lifetime.

Sounds like a perfect track car to me other than the timing of market prices. 20k miles and over MSRP. Man is it a ****ty time to buy a car unless you’re offsetting with an equally inflated sale/trade.

As far as prices, the market has gotten crazier since I bought mine a few months ago. I suspect it will get worse as we close in on the summer.

I’m not sure if this is a long term keeper or not but there is still the factory warranty. I guess the question is if the over rev some how voids that factory warranty. That would be my personal deciding factor.

How many zone 2 over revs?

A clutch required at 20000miles would generally mean an idiot owned that car. How many gear grinds did he do while he was destroying that clutch?

Definitely not interested in buying a car from from a non CPO dealer either; if it was good what's it doing at a kia dealership?
If it's a car that's cheap or I plan to only own for a little bit i'll roll the dice on buying site unseen if it makes sense to do so, but on anything expensive or that is a keeper, it's gotta be a CPO at the dealer that sold that thing new.

You are in control of what you would spend on the car.
And yes, with gas and everything else going up, the cooling off period has just begun.
