Well, not wanting to run the wheels sans center caps, I ordered what are supposed to be knock-off center caps on Amazon (all four for $21). They don't say they are knock-offs but I assumed that based on the price.

I haven't pulled my OEM caps to study the back but if they are a knock-offs they are well done. They are Made in Italy just like the OEM, have the concave and dimples in the shield etc. Once I pull the stock ones and study the mould stamps, I should be able.to determine if they were done in the same mould.

I mounted my stock Dunlops on the Apex wheels and put the Bridgestones currently on sale on my OEM tires as winter tires. One day, if the weather is nice, I'll pop the Apex wheels on and snap some pics.

I understand the powder coat argument but that still doesn't explain why we aren't offered Apex matching center caps. I can't think of many other wheel companies that don't offer matching center caps.

HRE doesn’t offer matching center caps either.

Honestly love these in Motorsports Gold

Waiting on this coat of ceramic to cure before hitting it with a coat of a topper and getting them finally mounted up

I don't notice any wheel weights, did you balance, and didn't need any? or not balanced yet? I'm going to ceramic coat so wondering about them sticking.

On a prior set of HREs, I affixed 2 inch blue masking tape all around the inside edge and again on the edge just behind the wheel face. Then ceramic coated the remaining exposed wheel face, lip, and barrel. After the ceramic was cured, peeled off the masking tape to preserve the uncoated portions that were needed for proper wheel weight adhesion.

There are wheel weights in there, just not visible in any of the wheels from that angle I guess.

I waited until after the tires were mounted and balanced to ceramic coat because I was afraid the wheel weights wouldn't stick if I didn't.

Personally, I mount and balance first and then ceramic coat. The wheel weights should stick to the ceramic coat and has for me when installing replacement tires on an already ceramic-coated wheel, I just like to give the first set of wheel weights the best chance of staying on. The downside of course is there will be small areas where the wheel isn't coated when you eventually replace the tires.

The only issue with doing it that way is that a future set of tires likely will not have the wheel weights in the same exact spots, so you may need to strip the ceramic coating off before re-balancing the wheels and affixing new weights...providing you don't want to risk any damage from throwing a wheel weight.

^^^ Looks great Mike, the Satin Bronze works well with the Shark Blue!

Nice to see all of that clearance up front between the caliper and the barrel!

For sure, I was going to wait for spring to mount them but I had to know how they fit. Every millimeter counts, am I right?

Put Motorsports Gold on the track last weekend and it's perfect fitment. Went with GT4 sized Cup2's (245/35/20 and 295/30/20) on my stock suspension 2022 Cayman T (with SPASM) and it was perfect. Very happy with how much lighter these wheels are than stock and the color is just fantastic.

I think so, although I have never had a problem with my OEM wheels, my Forged One's have a scratch or two from rocks getting stuck in there...

So stoked to see these wheels out on track already! If you have any more photos I would love to see them.
