Default Best looking Porsche ever

I’ve said it before…the 718 spyder is THE best looking car Porsche has ever made. Bar none. IMO, of course. Others are more purposeful, rare, storied, expensive…whatever. But in terms of pure automotive sex appeal beauty…I’m going with the spyder.

Post pics of your contenders below. Let’s see what people like most.

Cheers

As much as I like my 981, and the new GT4s, I always have been, and always will be about these:

I own a GT4 so no pictures for me... but a friend owns a GT Silver Spyder and I agree that the look of the Spyder is absolutely stunning. Proportions are perfect, the humps are super sexy and perfectly sized (as opposed to speedster's). Let the pictures flow!

I agree. I can find reasons to appreciate any Porsche...well, almost any...but the Spyder is the best looking car that I've ever owned and up there with the best ever made. I also think the GT4 falls into the same category but more track focused of course. It was the looks of the GT4 and the Spyder that first pulled me into the mid-engine world. I still lust after an early 911 or backdate with a ducktail for the classic period specific look but there is nothing as good looking as the Spyder imho.

I would say:
1) Carrera GT
2) 918 Spyder
3) 718 Spyder
4) 991.2 GT3

Disagree here. The 718 style rear is too busy on the Spyder. I don't mind it on regular Boxster or Cayman - where I think it looks better than 981, but not so on Spyder. On 981 Spyder the humps nicely flow into the ducktail, then the bumper. Also the front is somewhat toned down, where it is overdone on 718.

I sort of regret not buying one back in 2016, when it was easy to get one, even with a decent discount.

It is a beautiful car, the nicest one they make right now to my eye. The 991.2 GT3 Touring also makes me weak in the knees, more so than the 992.

Did someone mention the 981 Spyder? I ordered mine as a consolation prize back in 2015 when I couldn’t get a GT4 allocation. Not long after delivery I discovered that the Spyder was the better choice for me and shortly thereafter turned down an offer for a trade plus cash from a GT4 owner. Not sure which one is more of a forever car for me. The Spyder or my 89 Carrera. I’ll call it a tie.

The 991.2 Targa is a close 2nd IMO:

That strip light that is above the Porsche wordmark on the back of the 981 is a shame.

718 Spyder is near flawless. They dropped the ball a bit on the exhaust outlets and surround though; that was poorly executed.
