This is like asking someone if their baby is the most beautiful baby ever! Obviously, I think the Spyder is beautiful but lets not rule out a bit of confirmation bias here.

I am not sure confirmation bias applies. As a car guy, I am always lusting after other machines, and I would say generally the tendency to want what you don't have far outweighs the tendency to confirmation bias, at least for me.

I was in love with the aesthetics of the spyder way before I ever managed to get an allocation.

Good point - however I lusted over this car for years before ordering one...

It has such beautiful lines and proportions - almost like 2000s era Ferraris. The fact it is such an amazing driver’s car is the cherry on top. And, it’s the only open top GT car this side of a Speedster/918/CGT in the modern era, yet it costs only a fraction of those. Porsche nailed it with the 718 Spyder.

100% agreed. The proportions are "just right". Aggressive enough, but not "3RS wings and fins and canards" aggressive. Draws a TON of attention.

Best looking soft top, no question. I think 993 cars are gorgeous too but personally believe the spyder takes the cake.

I also agree, it is the best looking current Porsche regardless of model or trim. And I don’t own one anymore so maybe I’m not biased. Ok, maybe I am partially.

Hope she’s still living a good life though.

It’s only my opinion, but it’s one of the best looking cars of all time.

No. Would be cool though! These wheels I really only use for autocross, then take them off. They were mounted to the car for these photos because I was about to take the car to my new home 800 miles away, in Georgia, the next day (had to make a couple trips and the first trip was taking the Spyder down and parking it in the garage....). I knew on my "final" trip down, actual "move in" day, the immediate next day there was a local AX that I wanted to attend... so I swapped the wheels over before I took the car down, so I wouldn't have to do it on my final trip. . Little surprise to me - the photographer wound up selling the pics he took to Cobb to use on their website

But now you have me thinking... I have another set of rims on order (Advan GTs), I wonder if I can have centercaps made....

Loved the Speedster but the back end always looked too big to me, out of proportion unlike the beautiful lines of the Spyder. When I had my 981 Spyder I thought, if only it had the GT3 engine😃.
