Please understand that with the darker colors there is going to be more compromise because if you go too dark it washes out all of the detail. And you have to remember what we are emulating here is a semi-transparent version of that color. With that said, here is what Gentian Blue looks like represented in this image:
Can you please add me to your queue? I'm wondering if you can tackle my custom BBS Fi-R wheels and GT2-RS tribute stripes? If not, I'd still like a drawing in stock form.
I thought about asking Randy for mods beyond factory options, like wheels and even exhaust but thought of a different take, my Spyder as delivered, so this poster will be on the wall beside my car...
A conversation starts with what I changed, my personalization mods, I can now compare the two side by side, actually point out the differences!
I'm not modeling any more wheels for a while. Some things can be added like decals/stripes, custom seat inserts, etc. I have been doing a few extra things like that for a small upcharge.
I like Slilley's FedEx Kinkos option and I wonder what a backlit version would look like and how it is powered. Mine will definitely be in the garage, so that seems appealing.
I worked with @Randy_B to create a cutaway drawing matching my spec, and he hit it out of the park with an amazing drawing of my car. I had the car cutaway printed on a 20x30" metal sheet along with images of the transmission and engine printed on 20x16" metal sheets. They are going to look great hanging in the garage!
I had to wait to post my results until Christmas day. But here's how well they printed up next to the real thing. Context on this is that when I bought my 350z 19 years ago, I managed to convince the dealership to give me the launch poster they had hanging up on the wall. I've been teasing her about this ever since she took delivery of the Porsche, and I thought this was a fun way to commemorate almost 20 years of her and I buying and enjoying fun cars. Thanks again, Randy!
