Strictly on looks, Boxster/Cayman's lean curves resemble a triathlon athlete whereas 992 in particular resembles a weight-lifter. It parallels the styling comparison between RD RX-7 and 300Z in yesteryears.
Perhaps because my body shape belongs in the former camp, I have always preferred lighter cars that also have that leaner look. Not a hard set rule, of course, but I do believe people tend to select cars that they perceive to be an extension of themselves. Car shape is amongst one of those attributes.

American muscle cars have always reminded me of weightlifters, much more than 911s.
I agree with you that the Boxster/Cayman have a leaner athletic look compared with 911 models. Reminds me of a well rounded athlete, not raw power. More of a cross fit, triathlete, martial arts type athlete.

I agree with you, I was looking for a PTS color but the first production run was available with only few color. I decided to proceed anyway instead of waiting and risk..... my dealer has not a second allocation confirmed. By the way my other is PTS. Mint green.

Porsche and their dealers are making more money than God and therefore there is no excuse for not ensuring that not a single person buys something he hasn’t seen.
We are all guilty of succumbing to this circumstance (myself included) but the time for its end arrived along ago.
