Personal opinion warning: the 718 spyder is THE best looking car Porsche has ever made. It's not even close. There are plenty which have a very purposeful and menacing presence, but none that feel stylistically beautiful, the way an Aston or a Ferrari does. I have been a Porsche fan for...going on 25 years now, but always felt their styling was pragmatic and stodgy, and frequently outright ugly. Way too German. lol
The spyder is gorgeous, from virtually every angle.

Porsche risks going the route of BMW with fat lazy pig cars. Remember when BMW used to ask: 'drivers wanted'. Now it's 'bus drivers wanted'.
The Spyder is the best modern expression of a sports car.

I won't. I think the CGT has some angles that look a little bit...Odd. From the B-pillar back it just looks too....LONG and out of proportion. That is obviously to house the large engine. But to me it looks like two different cars that were fused together at the B-Pillar. And when the wing pops up, it looks even weirder. Sorry, I know this is a highly regarded car. But the Spyder is prettier....thanks in large part to SOME styling cues from the CGT. The Spyder is simply a stunningly beautiful car because the proportions are absolutely perfect. The GT4 ain't bad either for the same reason!!! 911s are....ROUND. The Speedster, again, out of proportion with the rear section "humped up" probably to handle the roof.

@flynlo Agreed, on all. 911s look, at best, menacingly functional with flared hips and a spoiler. Without…blech, especially cabs. For my two cents.
For other P cars, like the cgt, people appear to equate ability / history with beauty. That isn’t enough for me.

I agree that the CGT looks awkward from the B pillar. Hence the painted roll hoop.
The one improvement I'd have on the spyder is to revert to the gen 1 roof. I had no problems removing it solo and it can actually be stored in the garage before going for a drive and the best part is the roof comes in 2 parts. You can have just the tent without the wrap around. That provides extra sonic pleasure and wind. That's my favourite configuration in fact. Its weird how I miss the simplicity of the gen 1 roof. The bad publicity by journos ruined it but I've always loved it for the classical design and that fabulous tent top.
