Interior Spec - Painted Climate Control option

Interior Spec - Painted Climate Control option
Hey folks! I've seen several cars with the painted interior trim around the center console and other areas in the cabin...but I haven't seen a lot of people go for the painted climate control option. I know the price on it is a bit steep for such a small area, but I was hoping to get peoples feedback for those that went the painted route on the center console and your thoughts on the non painted section, those with both, and those that didn't do either, as well as anyone having regrets from not doing it. Coming from an 07 S my interior is setup quite a bit different, but I'm hoping any 981/982 owners can shed some light. I see it being a bit of a high traffic area, so I can see some wear happening which would be unfortunate. I would love to have the whole area painted (like in the pictures below) to add a bit more color and flow better. I did some searching and posted in another area or two to see what I could find out...but I figured starting a new thread may not be out of the question since it's a bit of a unique option. Thanks for your insight!

I have it in my Miami Blue Spyder - and I forgot to add it in my Voodoo Blue GT3
If you have the center console painted, having the ac also painted seems more cohesive to me than when it is not - I am still mad at myself for forgetting to do it in the GT3

Totally agree...can you do it aftermarket?

I believe you can order some of the items via Suncoast, but last I checked it was $750 for just the center console trim (no other airbag or driver side items).
I did get a chance to see it on a GB in the GB photo thread after I posted this and asked a question there and it looks really good. After seeing the white cutouts in the dash, I'll probably just remove those and swap for the painted climate.

I don’t want to steel your post, but I wondering if the climate control panel is available in Carbon Fiber?
I’m planing to order the interior trim in carbon fiber, and I also think that climate control panel would look much better in the same color as the interior trim!

I made a slight mistake here….. I ordered a chalk car w the classic interior and ordered it painted. I assumed it was painted the trim color (silver) but it’s chalk! It’s not terrible but I will definitely ask my local body shop the cost to spray it the correct silver.
