GT4 Market Value Discussion

LOL, so true!!
4 years ago after a Friday afternoon “liquid lunch“, I got back home and checked BAT.
I was drunk.
Ended up buying a F&#* Nissan Pao for my daughter...
Instant regret, steering wheel on wrong side, import fees, transport fees, inspection fees.. and she never drove it.

Sorry for the Highjack

You're certainly not going to do any worse than listing and selling it on BAT, esp. after commissions, fees, etc.

The good about BaT is it’s only $99.00 if you take the pics. Buyer pays a percentage that’s maxed at $5k
Also, not dealing with joyride wannabes is nice.
The bad about BaT is you have to gamble with a reserve, that might be risky to some.
You might also be pressured to shooting a video.
Also, after they “approve” your listing (not a problem with a Porsche), get ready to wait about 5 weeks or more for it to finally go live.

I offered someone 2K below MSRP (119K) on a 2020 and they turned me down. Eagerly looking for an allocation now, local dealer is very backed up on the waitlist.

The current state of the market is that everyone both private and dealers are trying to push ADM to capitalize on the current situation, however if you look at the units with those outrageous mark-ups, you will see that most are not moving, so the end result is not a lot of movement just stagnation.

Yeah that absolutely makes sense. I wouldn't be surprised if my seller looked online and saw Porsche pre-owned cars at 25K over MSRP and just bailed. I'm not in a rush, just need to take a cold shower and wait for things to come back around a bit.

For those who have never watched a BaT auction, they can be kinda fun. Tune in around 2:30 PM eastern to watch
In the closing minutes, 2 minutes is added to the clock after each bid to allow sufficient time to counter.

I paid $13k over sticker for my 2020 about a month ago with 3700 miles and some expensive upgrades like a $5k JCR exhaust. Seller was a friend of a friend and had a carmax offer in hand for $12k over sticker so there wasn't a whole lot of negotiating power on my end. That's the market. Whoever suggested MSRP is not living in reality, or at least not living in California. Maybe 18 months ago.
