Hmm. I have not tried doing that yet. Instead, when I need power, I have a short wire that I plug into the glove box USB and out to the phone, which you can either toss in the glove box, or like me put it on the mount next to the radio. I simply close the glove box and leave just enough wire to get to the phone - the glove box door doesn't pinch or hurt the wire.
As for your question, I suspect you need to disconnect and select the car in the phone's bluetooth setting or some other similar setting. I bought two more of these and put one into my Audi. It got a little confusing for a few seconds, but now I can just go from car to car without ever taking my phone out of my pocket (or glove box for charging) and it switches/grabs the running car, quickly. I'm digging it.

I did try connecting to the car/disconnecting with bluetooth, etc, but nothing seemed to get carplay to pull up when the phone was plugged in directly. I had only the one usb cord in the car. I'll stick one in the glove box, so I can charge and use the wireless AA.
So we only have two good PPF shops in the Raleigh area. The one I wanted was booked till August 22 so I paid a deposit to get that date even though my car won't get here till end of July. Does that count?
No need to try. I will just do what you suggested of plugging my phone into the glove box for power.
I have the AA wireless in my Audi too. So on my way home I experimented. I was able to switch back and forth between it and the wireless without doing anything.
Delivery in July. Buying very little. I hit all the options. All previous GT Porsches I've spent thousands on aftermarket exhaust, and I'm done. I'm ready for some quite exhaust, and turn up the Burmester. If I want loud exhaust, I'll jump in my 986 Boxster with full race Soul. I may get the clear side markers. No covers either, my experience is they just get put in a closet.
Wouldn’t that take almost as much time as putting the top up??
A little less, since you just throw it over the window and hoop area and maybe secure the side mirrors and door straps...you're good to go as an indoor temporary cover. If parked outside, then it will be just as long as putting the top up, but lighter to maneuver
Bought a JCR exhaust from a member on here and also have Flat6 Motorsports OAP’s coming in. Was told this is the “best” sounding setup for our cars to make it sound like a real GT/GT3.

Looks great, just like mine, incredible sound too! I run it with Akra link-pipes... be warned when you accelerate hard it's loud, and you will get noticed!

I'm used to it with my 981 GT4 that has catless race headers on it(quiet under 4k but screams like a banshee above 5k). I just hope it won't be louder than that LOL.
