Ditto. I slid the plastic retainer/slide thing and buckle up to the top belt where it meets the retracting trim and that stops the buckle from rattling. I also removed the cargo area cover because it makes noise a bit too at times.
I was almost certin i hear rattles now and then in my car. you guys pinned it and resolved it.... appreciated
Are you sure it's not the passenger seatbelt hitting the plastic behind it? I get that in mine.

I have been trying to figure out where it is. I tried bucking the passenger seat belt to see if that fixes it. It does feel like it comes from the roof at times (the plastic flap cover that folds up perhaps?) and for a while I thought it may have been the bolster covers as they have plastic clips that have the possibility to rattle against the CF seat. Really hard to narrow it down on the back, twisty roads around my house and it is quiet enough that you can't hear it on the highway. I figure that if I Dynamat the doors it will eliminate that possibility while hopefully enhancing the Burmester sound system. Shouldn't help with road noise at that seem to come in through the top.
I may try removing the bolster protector on the passenger seat to see if that is it. What cargo area cover are you referring to?
It does add a lb or two but I do have a full inconel and exhaust and light weight battery which together must have saved 40lbs so that weight added should be negligible.
@MaddMike sorry, my bad. I have a Cayman and didn't realize when I replied that you have a Boxster. The cargo cover is in the hatch, so NA for you. I'd assume the seat belt trick would work regardless. And yes, I tried buckling the belt and that fixed it but is annoying to leave buckled IMO.

I used to get that in my Boxster until I wrapped the back of the seatbelt in the soft side of some very wide velcro from Home Depot (see picture). It is a very simple but effective solution, plus it is the back side of the buckle, so it is not visible.

Funny enough I noticed a rattle in my Cayman this morning and when I looked it was the belt rattling against the carbon fiber seat back
So, I followed the pattern posted by Musical and put Dynamat and acustic tiles behind the door sub and put Dynamat in the doors. I did find one rubber grommet that had fallen out of position which may have been the cause of my rattle. I did the sound insulation anyway but only completed the passenger.
Results: one reason I only did one side was I have tow small kids and I ran out of time and the other was I wanted to see if I could hear a difference in the speakers from one door to the other. The answer is that if you have Burmester, I highly recommend you do this to your doors. One of the complaints with this system is that it is overly bright and the midrange is not very strong. Now you can hear a definite difference between the two doors with the passenger side sounding much fuller and richer. Amazing what some audio insulation can do. Obviously, there are no rattles. I'll do the driver's side once I get the kids to bed. This maybe added 2lbs to each door but totally worth it. I'm not building a race car and I have shaved weight in other areas. The door even sounds better when you close it.
I forgot to take a post picture behind the speaker once I insulated it, I'll do it on the driver's door. You can see the one tiny OEM strip in the door which doesn't do much.

Crazy Eddie sells perfectly matched little leather loops that hold the belt in place against the top of the seat; prevents that, as an option to address this.
Installed a new steering wheel and shift boot with a splash of Miami Blue!
Looks great. How hard was it to remove and reinstall the airbag and steering wheel? I’m tempted to get the stitched leather steering column from EO but I believe the wheel has to come off for installation.
It wasn't bad at all.. If I can do it anyone can! The hardest part for me was routing all the wires in the same way as the original steering wheel. Wasn't bad just a little time consuming!
