Sorry about con rod jail but the CXX carbon fiber with the classic interior looks awesome! Please share some pictures when you get your car. Do you know when they'll begin working on your car?
I happened to be around the dealer and just dropped in to see if it is there. Didn’t tell any dealer staff.
Just drove around and saw it there at the corner spot. It was bitter sweet. Started looking for an allocation March 2020. So close but yet so far. Didn’t want to sit in it to tempt myself. Didn’t want to take a whiff of that new car smell, touch the leather and alcantara…
So only outside snooping pic. This is the best that I have. Shows CF dash and door trim, a separate CXX item. I always found the GT silver trim added too much colour inside to my eyes. So I ponied up the extra cash to spec CF. Matching CF sills, LWBS (albeit different weave) for the CF theme.
I have a Macan with black/ red interior with CF and liked it. The Spyder is kind of similar with the colours reversed. The Macan is actually in the background in the above pic.
My OCD in receiving a factory fresh car is too strong and it is keeping me from accepting this
So I am actually walking away from this specific car. Seeing it IRL certainly didn’t make it easier. I traded my old car in July 2020 to secure this allocation.
Reordering the exact same one. I was told delivery most likely in 2022.
I guess I am a very patient man, or crazy, depending on who you asked.

It's unfortunate that this con rod fiasco has led to your decision to reorder but I get the idea of getting a brand new unmolested car vs a "brand new" molested car. Do you have a commission number/build slot or are you still waiting for one? Good luck and I hope your build finishes early rather than later.

Just waiting. All I was told was pretty much no way for allocation this year.
April delivery is fine with me. Rather get it after the salt is gone from the roads.
That is another kicker for us in the northern climate. Even if we get the car back in august, we might have 3-4 months of driving left this year depending on when the snow starts. Already lost 2 months, another 2 will be lost waiting for engine replacement.
Going to the mountain house this weekend. First trip for the CGTS. Will post some better pics.

Those @bwhip photos helped me decide on the rim for my winter set. Here’s a few other things I’ve accumulated for the cGTS. Still resisting buying a rear muffler section, I really should get the car first
So 4.0 letters from @BobZ, universal license plate mount, gas cap and side markers from my wife, turtle wax graphene (going to try it, need to up the car wash game), wheel bags and cart, and new mats with a bit more yellow. Basement floor circa 1936, PTS Olive Green.

Finally able to go downtown, it’s a weird feeling after lockdown.
Only time I’ve really ever taken a picture - all the scenic places I’ve been has been while driving!
